macOS: Podcast App

Oct 2, 11:30 am .. 12:30 pm

What do a group of whales listen to on a long journey? Podcasts.

Podcasts are basically recorded radio shows that you can listen to on-demand anytime you want. Hopefully you’ve already discovered the joy and benefits of listening to podcasts. They are a great way to learn or be entertained while doing something else with your hands or eyes.

However, it didn't make a whole lot of sense for Apple to have a Podcasts app on your iPhone, yet have Podcasts be part of iTunes on your Mac. Well, thankfully, Apple changed that, and when iTunes was retired in 2019, the Podcast section was replaced with a standalone Apple Podcasts app like that on the iPhone.

This class walks you through the new Podcasts app from set up to all its features so that you can confidently use and enjoy it.

Podcasts is your one-stop shop for all of your podcasts needs, and you’ll learn how
to browse and search for new podcasts to listen to, as well as how to stream them.

Jamie will then teach you how to configure your Podcasts app to subscribe to your favorite shows, download, and listen to them offline without filling up your mobile device’s hard drive. You even have the ability to get a notification when there's a new episode of one of your favorite shows.

Instead of fumbling around the new app, save yourself time and hassle. If you had taken the class already, you’d already be listening, engrossed, and happy. Sign up now.
